About Me
Hi,
My name is Jeannette Jean, I was born in the Capital of Haiti under the Zodiac Sign of Virgo the oldest of 3 siblings, and also twins. My mother was very sick when she was pregnant with us, and she developed Eclampsia during labor, a potentially fatal disease.
While doctors were trying to figure out how to save the 3 of us, I became impatient and anxious to see daylight. I stepped out Period. Like they say-boys are attached to their mothers, my brother was a perfect example – he decided to hang out in his mother’s Womb long after I arrived on the planet, and there was not enough amniotic fluid in there he was born medically challenged, and he died a year later. So I’ve been a survivor my entire life. My personality Traits are a combination of both introvert and extrovert . When I was in 11th grade my teacher discovered my extroverted side and offered me a role as Juliette in William Shakespeare famous script which I played and delivered optimum performances:-)
When I landed on American Soll in the early Eighties I pursued other interests such as falling in love, getting married and have babies. But in 2000, I rekindled my childhood interest in acting by attending acting classes at HB Studio in addition to working in Health Care. I started off by playing different roles in short student films. And in 2005 I received a call from Sylvia Fay Casting- the Talent Agency who was in charge of choosing actors for the Interpreter” starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn.
As I cited above,I am the oldest of 3 Siblings, and even though I was Daddy’s little girl, the rules were much Tougher on me, I unsuccessfully tried to outsmart him on several occasions, because he was already an elderly by the time I reached my teenage years. Based on the fact he was always dozing off, I was under the mistaking impression that I could do stuff that was against his beliefs. (Boy was I wrong!)
My parents set up strange rules for us to follow-like for example if they passed Gas (which they often did) we were supposed to say sorry,and there were severe punishments when one of us did the exact same thing, even though we said our own sorry.There was a tree of delicious mangoes in the front Yard, my mother used to eat a half a dozen per day, and a few minutes later… Excessive Flatulence! Me alone-I said sorry to my parents like it was going out of style and as a result , I ‘ve avoided to say sorry ever since l left Haiti. Other than the crazy rules my parents were loving, supportive and Spiritually Sounds.:)
My father was an intense Preacher- the way he introduced the son of God made it virtually impossible not to get to know him personally. My father taught us the ingredients that makes a person human, and they are Love, Respect, Compassion,Allure,Confidence,Humor Energy Health ,Positiveness. And never do to others what you don’t want done to you. Those values ingrained in me. By the time I graduated from High Schoolhe became very old and frail that he held Church in our home, and he died sshortly thereafter.
I know he is in good hands nevertheless I missed him a lot:):)
